On 30 March 2011, May 19 became China Tourism Day. Pingyao, Shanxi, is the main venue(举办地) for China Tourism Day this year.

Many people’s travel habits become different because of COVID-19. To stay away from it, people don’t get together or travel far, and they pay more attention to health. So, travelling online(在线地) becomes a new way to travel.

A new study finds that 74.8% of people would like to travel online. 59.7% of people say that they have a good time when travelling online. 84.1% of people say it gives them different travelling experiences(体验). And some also say that travelling online helps them know the exhibits(展览品) better in museums.

“Now people can not travel far because of COVID-19. Travelling online is a good way to see the world,” said Li Baiwen, a teacher at the School of Tourism of Beijing Union University(北京联合大学旅游学院).
