Nyima Wangdu is from Sichuan, China. When he was only three months old, he could not see anything. His grandparents helped him grow up. They talked to him a lot. They told him about the world.
When Nyima was 14, he went to a special school for blind children in Lhasa. There he learned to read with his fingers. He fell in love with books! He read a famous book by Helen Keller, Three Days to See. It gave him much hope. Later, he wrote a book, too. It’s called No Need to See 3 Days.
Now Nyima is the head teacher of this school. He helps many blind children learn to read.
