On February 20, 2026, a courtroom (法庭) became full of joy and tears. An 11-year-old boy named Cain Coles was adopted (被收养) by Vandria and Tyrone Johnson. He had been in foster  care for two years, and now he finally had a forever family.

That day was more than just a special day for the law. About 45 of Cain’s fifth-grade classmates came to support him. They wanted to stand by their friend on this special day. Around 100 family members and friends also joined the ceremony. Judge Robert Wilson completed the adoption and allowed Cain to change his name to Alexander Kaine Johnson.

Adoption experts said the boy gets along very well with his new family. His new parents described him as kind, helpful and polite. He has grown and changed a lot since they first met him. They are very proud of how much he has grown up.

Cain felt thankful to his family and friends. The judge praised the family for their love and patience. In the end, the boy left the court with a new name, a warm family and the support of his whole community. It was a really unforgettable day for him, and he looked forward to his new happy life.
