A big surprise happened at a graduation ceremony (毕业典礼). On May 8, students from Wilson College thought they would have an ordinary graduation. However, a businessman gave them a great gift. He said he and his wife would pay off (付清) all their school loans (借款).
The man’s father once studied at this college many years ago. To show his love for his father, he decided to help the students here.
Students first fell quiet, then cheered loudly. This kind act was very helpful to them. It gave them a good new start in life.
