Do you know a special raincoat from China? We call it a straw raincoat (蓑衣).
It is made of plants. People use grass and tree leaves to make it. These plants are strong. They can keep rain out. They make it by hand. It takes a few days to make one.
Long ago, farmers wore it on rainy days. They could work in the rain and stay dry. Today, we have new raincoats. But the straw raincoat shows how clever people were long ago.
