割草机下岗,草坪上演“羊”光大道

In neighborhoods around Washington, D.C., yard work is turning into a community event thanks to a flock of hardworking sheep that are winning hearts while clearing weeds. Instead of using noisy lawn mowers, hundreds of residents are calling in a team from Lamb Mowers, where adorable sheep handle the job naturally, quietly, and with plenty of charm.

The company takes its friendly sheep to homes and businesses across the area. Once they arrive, the sheep begin to eat thick, unwanted weeds, even poison ivy(毒葛). If a fence is needed, one is quickly set up, and then the sheep are let out to enjoy their meal. They happily eat away, doing what they do best.

According to the company’s website, “Starting at $195 for a two-hour visit, our sweet flock will eatweeds, feed, and mow your lawn while their Shepherd assists, serving you and caring for your land.” The idea began in 2015 when founder Corybought a farm and noticed how well the sheep cleared unwanted plants. What began as a lawn mowing service soon became a special weed removal business that is both practical and very entertaining.

Customers say the sheep often attract curious neighbors and delighted children who stop to watch them happily eat grass in the yards. “It was wonderful,” customer Stephanie Brander said. “It was two hours and they got more done than I could have in a week. And they were fun to watch.” For larger properties, the company even offers overnight visits called “Sheep-overs,” allowing the flock to stay and continue working through tougher jobs.

But for many, the experience goes far beyond lawn care. “We bring joy everywhere we go,” Cory said. “Our sheep are really friendly and sweet. Just being near them can help you feel calm and relaxed.” In a stressful world full of screens, these fluffylawn mowers show that sometimes the best solution is also the cutest.
