A mother has won widespread praise for her quick and caring actions, which safely returned a lost three-year-old girl to her family.
It was an ordinary Monday morning. Jabril Walls had just dropped her kids off at school and was on her way to her grandmother’s house. Suddenly, she noticed a small child walking alone in the middle of the busy street. Alarmed, she immediately pulled over.
Walls stopped her car and used it to block the traffic so the girl would not get hurt. The moment she opened the door, the frightened little girl ran straight to her, crying for her parents. After calming the child down, Walls took her to her grandmother’s home. The girl was able to provide a clue: she lived in a grey-and-white house.
Together, the two of them took the girl to search nearby houses, but they failed to find anyone who knew the child. They then went to the local fire station and called the police for help. Before long, the girl was reunited with her family. Walls noted that the child appeared healthy and well cared for, and she believed the whole thing was simply an accident.
