小小记者经历,成就职业新闻人生

It is now 2026. Brennan LaBrie’s life has been totally changed by the TFK Kid Reporter program. He joined the team 17 years ago when he lived in Washington State. Years later, he became a freelance journalist(自由撰稿记者) in New York.

His favorite memory was covering the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. He was the youngest official journalist there. With his mom, he interviewed athletes and wrote news with reporters from different countries. This trip left a lasting impression on him.

Now Brennan still sticks to news work. He writes articles about education, housing and the environment for local newspapers. He has also started a club for new journalists, organizing meetings and online groups for them to share ideas. He didn’t major in journalism at college, but his time as a kid reporter taught him core (主要的) reporting skills and laid a foundation for his career. At 26, he has 17 years of journalism experience.

Brennan offers warm advice to kids who hope to join TFK. Journalism is about telling real personal stories. He admits writing about oneself is difficult, but every child has special experiences worth sharing. The program is always looking for curious young storytellers with unique voices.

TFK brings unique chances and wonderful adventures for teenagers. Brennan is thankful for the opportunity he got when he was young. He hopes his story can inspire more kids to join the program, discover the world through writing and begin their own reporting journey.
