A police officer is being called a guardian angel(守护天使) after he saved the life of a 2-year-old boy.

Dixon got off work and was on the way to his home. Someone called him to ask for help. He quickly went there and was the first one to help.

Yakema Harris said her son started vomiting(呕吐) after they arrived home and then stopped breathing. She called 911 and Dixon was the first to arrive. He began to do CPR(心肺复苏) at once. He was able to make the child start breathing again.

“His eyes just opened. I felt relieved to see him open his eyes. I knew he was out of danger,” Dixon said. He then sent the boy to a near hospital.

Yakema Harris thinks Dixon is her son’s guardian angel. “I think he is an angel,” Harris said. “His help was very needed at that time.”
