Some police officers helped save a lot of lost baby sea turtles. They went into a hotel while taking their trip to the sea.
A worker at the hotel called the police station for help after finding the baby sea turtles early in the morning. The worker couldn’t believe his eyes at first, because he hadn’t seen so many sea turtles before. He knew she must do something for them. The worker had collected about 15 sea turtles before he called police officers for help. Three officers arrived at the hotel and found baby sea turtles all over the area including in the hotel’s pool, in the bathroom, and even in the storm drain(排水沟). They then found another 17 sea turtles.
One of the officers, Sergeant Mackesy, called the Fish and Wildlife Conservation and Commission (鱼类和野生动物保护委员会). They taught her how to release(释放) the turtles and let them go towards the water on their own.
Someone took a video about this and posted it on the Internet. The three officers can be seen on video releasing the baby sea turtles near the shoreline. “With some words of encouragement and help, all the baby turtles made their way to the water successfully,” the police station said. “We think they will live a happy life in the water in the future.”
