Ye Lianping is a 95-year-old retired(退休的) teacher from Buchen village in East China’s Anhui province. He started teaching left-behind children(留守儿童) for free 22 years ago.

Ye first taught those kids in his house. In 2012, he set up the Ye Lianping Scholarship Fund with all his money. It helped many left-behind children. In the summer of 2018, Ye got injured(受伤的) when he rode a bike to buy vegetables. But he didn’t stay in bed for long. He returned to class with a stick within a week.

Ye is trying his best to spend much time on these kids.
