It is 2022 now. People in Fiji have a big problem. Climate change(气候变化) makes sea water go up.

The water gets into people’s houses and gardens during high tide(潮). People can’t grow anything. Their homes are destroyed.

People must do something. Some people want to move away. But old people want to stay there. They live in the village all their lives.

In 2014, one community(社区) moved away. Their move is the first time that people leave because sea water goes up. Some people still come back to their old village almost every day.

People in Fiji say that they don’t cause the climate change. They want money for new homes from bigger countries. They say that those bigger countries cause climate change.
