人造有雪的“冬天”送狗狗最后一程

A Canadian man recently shared the story of his beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Brooke, on the Internet.

Brooke was a huge part of his family, so when the animal doctor said she had cancer and might have just days to live, he knew he had to make her last moments as full and special as possible. He thought his cute dog needed a lot of snow to roll in, one last time! However, it was August, and there was no natural snow to be found. Still, he didn’t give up and shared Brooke’s story on the Internet, along with an unusual request(请求).

“Our 11.5-year-old Berner has a couple of days left,” he wrote. “She loves snow, but isn’t going to make it to winter. Does anyone know of any rink(溜冰场) or anything that has a lot of snow behind them so she can go lay on the snow one last time?”

People were quick to offer suggestions after reading the post. Most importantly, someone at the Bowness Sports Plex saw his message and started gathering snow outside the ice rink at once.

That very day, Brooke played in the snow, just as she had for the past 11 winters. She thoroughly enjoyed her snow bath. Later that day, she passed away peacefully in her cool front yard with her family by her side.

In a follow-up post, the man said he cried like never before, but he was moved by love and care from strangers(陌生人) on the Internet.
