A water lifesaving robot saved a drowning(溺水的) boy in Weihai of Shandong province.

The police controlled the robot. They had it come near to the drowning boy. The person seized(抓住) the robot and was saved.

The public security authority of Weihai introduced(引进) 74 water-based lifesaving robots in June. They wanted these robots to help save the drowning people.

The robot is easy to carry or to move. It is fast in water. It can sail(航行) for 30 minutes at most. People can control it within 800 meters.
