Many years ago, there was an Emperor(皇帝). He loved new clothes very much. He spent all his money in making new clothes. He had a different suit for each hour of the day. People always said, “The Emperor is sitting in his wardrobe(衣橱).”

One day, two people came to their country. They said they could make the most beautiful clothes in the world. The Emperor wanted them very much. So he asked the two people to start their work. The two people pretended(假装) they were busy. But they did nothing. They put the most expensive gold threads(金线) into their bags. Then they pretended to work till night.
