Broadley and Partridge were enjoying a picnic on the beach. A woman came to them. She said, “I can’t swim and my 11-year-old girls are stuck in the water, please...” Partridge, now age 20, and Broadley, 19, took action right away.

Broadley was just swimming out and thinking, “how am I going to get back in? This is bad.” Luckily, she got Violet.

Partridge was close behind. She swam Chloe back to the beach. On the way back, they met some rocks. Partridge ended up having lots of cuts all over her hands. Luckily, Chloe was fine.

In the end, both little girls were back to the beach. Violet needed to spend the night in hospital. Chloe was sent home. They said they felt very tired because they had to try hard to keep their heads above water.
