Zebby is a cat. He is two years old. He is black and white. This month, he became “National Cat of the year”. Why? Because he acts as Genevieve’s “ears”. 

Genevieve is 66 years old. She is Zebby’s owner. She cannot hear anything without her hearing aids (助听器). Luckily, she gets help from Zebby.

How does Zebby help Genevieve? He does a lot to let her know the sounds around the house. When the phone is ringing, he’ll come and let her know. In the night, if there is something wrong, he will wake her up and let her know. If someone is at the door, he will walk around in front of her and let her know.

“Zebby is very special,” Genevieve said.
