Qin Yuqing is a member of the national freestyle roller skating team. Recently, the National Freestyle Roller Skating Championship was held in Lishui, Zhejiang. She won the Adult Women’s Freestyle Roller Skating Style Round.
Born in the year 2004, Qin has already won a lot of competitions. Qin began her roller skating journey when she was just 6 years old. Her parents supported her very much. After they knew Qin’s love for roller skating, they swiftly helped her sign up for the sport. From that moment on, she spent most of her time on daily practice.
Qin found herself training mostly at night because she had to study at school during the day. She faced challenges, including a serious fall. That left her with a scar (伤疤). But she regarded it as a symbol of her personal growth. What was more, she once fell in the middle of a competition, experiencing embarrassment (尴尬), but quickly that feeling went away and she stood up again.
Qin wanted to show wonderful Chinese traditional culture to more and more people. To ensure that the elegance of Chinese culture was perfectly shown in roller skating competitions, Qin has spent a lot of time and energy. Each of her clothes for competitions is well designed and shows Chinese culture to others. “I want to be more than just a roller skater; I hope to be an ambassador (大使) of Chinese culture.”
