Thystle the red fox was born at a fur farm, and when her mother refused her, the fur farm allowed Saveafox to save her. If Thystle’s mother had raised her, Thystle would have finally been euthanized (使安乐死). Instead, Clevyr Creatures Fox Sanctuary adopted (收养) her from Saveafox. Now Thystle gets to live out her life at their sanctuary (避难所) in Oklahoma.
“Thystle enjoys going on walks and visiting new places,” Clevyr Creatures says on their website. “She’s very sweet and outgoing, and always wants to meet nearly everyone. Her favorite toys are holey roller balls and her favorite food is chicken!” At their sanctuary, Thystle gets to spend her time playing with other foxes.
In one video posted to their TikTok page, you can see Thystle playfully playing with Artemys, another fox. Artemys has no tail, as her mother chewed it off when Artemys was a baby. Fur foxes sometimes mutilate (使残废) their babies because of stress, but this allowed Artemys to be saved.
Now, Clevyr Creatures Fox Sanctuary houses 20 foxes. The goal of the sanctuary is to improve the lives of domestic foxes through saving them and education. They offer all kinds of ways for you to support them and their foxes, including donations (捐赠), their Amazon wish list, and even paintings made by their foxes that you can buy!
