A car crashed into a river in Utah in the USA. Nobody knew what happened until a fisherman found the car upside down on Saturday afternoon, then he called 911 at once. Soon the police came and, to their surprise, they found an 18-month-old girl alive in the car, but the driver-the girl’s mother, 25, died.

Police took the baby to a hospital around 50 miles away in Salt Lake City as soon as they could. While helping to get the girl out the car, some of the policemen were also in hospital because of the cold weather.

We still don’t know the names of the girl and the mother, but it was sure the mother was driving her baby home on Friday evening.

A man said he thought he heard a big sound at around 11pm US time, but when he went out and looked around, he could not find anything.

According to the police, the car might hit a barrier on the south end of a bridge and then went into the river. The fisherman found the car at around 12:30pm on Saturday.
