People in Dutch finally caught the bird--an owl. They call it "terror owl" because it attacked more than 50 people.
The owl came quickly from above and attacked people in the city, for the past year. It mostly attacked people’s heads and faces, and made people bloody.
"It’s good that we caught it," Purmerend city spokesman said.
Local officials asked people to use umbrellas to protect themselves. In one of the attacks, a young man needed six stitches for head wounds.
City spokesman said he felt sorry about the owl but happy for people in Purmerend.
"On the one hand, you would of course leave such a nice animal alone, but on the other hand, it could not go on. We had to do something to stop it."
