When 5-year-old Na’ama knew her brother Nadav was ill, she wanted to do something about it. So she decided to raise money for her brother and people like her brother. Fast in a year and three months, Na’ama raised $48,140.
“Once I heard about it, I wanted to help,” she said, “Because he’s my brother and I love him.”
Na’ama’s mom, Ru Uzan, said that Na’ama began selling cookies, chocolates, coffee last spring, and when their neighbours heard about it, they began to help, too. With the help of her neighbours, Na’ama raised $26,450.
When Stephen Murphy heard Na’ama’s story all the way in California. Because his son was ill like Na'ama's brother, he decided to do something. Murphy and his friend went out to their family and friends and, in a week, raised another $21,690, and then they gave the money in the name of Na’ama.
As for Na’ama, she only cares about one thing. “I’m putting it all to a cure for people like my brother,” she said.
