小狗主动求助回家

A dog stolen from his owner, then dropped more than 100 miles from his home, has been saved after stopping a passing car.

Alfie ran into the middle of a country road, and barked at Stephanie Law's car to get her to pull over. Ms Law stopped and the dog jumped in as soon as she opened the door.

Ms Law looked into the dog's microchip to find out his owner's address and discovered the seven-year-old dog had been stolen from a house in the West Midlands on 21 March.

She said: "I have had a lot of people wave me down for help, but I have never actually been stopped by a dog in need of help before. Ms Law believes Alfie may have been dropped in woods but came running out when he heard the car driving by.

His owner Kirsty Mitton, 23, is over the moon to have Alfie back. "We didn't think we would see him again," she said.

Unfortunately, Alfie's fellow partner Lillie, who was also taken, is still missing and does not have a microchip with him.
