It was a cold and snowy night. People rushed by (匆匆而过) in warm clothes. But a little girl stood alone. She watched them. She had no hat or warm clothes. Her shoes were too big. She held a box of matches. She wanted to sell them. But no one stopped to buy her matches. She was very cold. So she lit match after match. She saw a stove, food and her grandmother in its light. Next morning, she was found dead with a smile on her face. She had a lot of burnt (燃烧了的) matches around her.
