XChat, the much-anticipated super app from X, is set to launch on the Apple App Store on April 17. Built with Rust, the app weighs 175.8 MB and requires iOS 16 or later. According to the company, key features include end-to-end encryption, no ads, no user tracking, plus screenshot prevention and ephemeral messaging. Pre-orders are already open on the Chinese mainland App Store, though availability may be limited. Additionally, XChat supports full-scenario communication (including HD audio and video calls, large-file sharing, etc.) and is deeply integrated with Grok AI, turning the chat box into a personal intelligent assistant.
