The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced that two Pakistani astronauts have been officially selected following a rigorous three-phase screening process.
The selection, finalized on April 22, follows the February 2025 signing of a bilateral agreement in Islamabad on training Pakistani astronauts for future missions to the Chinese space station.
This marks the first time in the history of China’s space program that astronauts have been selected and trained for a foreign nation, representing a significant milestone in international cooperation aboard the Chinese space station.
